Terms and conditions
Cancellation Policy
Lessons cancelled less than 24 hours before the start time or missed entirely will be charged in full.
Your instructor reserves the right to cancel lessons at short notice if safety is compromised (e.g., due to adverse weather). In such cases, a replacement lesson will be scheduled at the earliest convenience.
It is the customer’s responsibility to confirm session times and dates.
Payments
Payments can be made via bank transfer or cash.
Licence Requirements
All customers must have a valid Irish Learner Permit or Full Irish Driving Licence during lessons.
Full licences from other countries are permitted if compliant with Irish legislation.
If a customer does not bring their licence to a session, the lesson cannot proceed, and payment will still be required.
Penalty Points
Any penalty points incurred during lessons are the full responsibility of the customer, as the driver of the vehicle.
Customer Vehicles
Lessons are conducted in customer vehicles, which must meet the following legal requirements:
Roadworthy, taxed, insured, and displaying valid discs (NCT if applicable).
L Plates/N Plates must be displayed as required by law.
Your instructor will check vehicle compliance before lessons. If the vehicle does not meet legal standards, the lesson will be cancelled, and the customer will still be charged.
Insurance
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure their vehicle is properly insured.
Any claims, liabilities, or costs arising during a lesson (when the customer is driving) are the responsibility of the customer.
If the instructor drives the vehicle for demonstration purposes, they will provide insurance cover.
Drugs and Alcohol
Your instructor may cancel a lesson if they believe the customer is unfit to drive due to drugs, alcohol, or other impairments. The session will still be charged in full.
Customers taking prescription or illegal drugs must disclose this before the session begins.
Complaints Procedure
If you have any complaints, please raise them with your instructor, who will do their best to address the issue.
If unresolved, you may contact the RSA (Road Safety Authority), which oversees Approved Driving Instructors in Ireland.
